Netflix’s Our Planet II produced by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey has won Best Episodic Series at the 39th International Documentary Association Awards.
Last year composers Thomas Farnon and Jasha Klebe scored the music for the 4-part series from Silverback Films that follows billions of animals across the globe as they make astonishing seasonal migration journeys amid the dangers of climate change. The series from Silverback Films was narrated by Sir David Attenborough and the music was composed over 6 months and features over 200 musicians, 300+ different instruments, and 45 singers from across the world.
IDA Documentary Awards is the world’s most prestigious event dedicated to the documentary genre, celebrating the year’s best nonfiction films and programs. It seeks to represent excellence in the documentary field from around the world by emerging and established documentarians.
