Freedom on Fire nominated for News & Doc Emmy

Freedom on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom has been nominated for a News and Doc Emmy in the Outstanding Music Composition category.

Nominations for The 45th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The film, about Ukraine’s fight for freedom, is a companion piece to director Evgeny Afineevsky’s Oscar-nominated movie “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s fight for freedom” and transports viewers through a war that started immediately after Maidan (Revolution of Dignity) in 2014 and continues through the 2023 Russian invasion.

We are proud to have released the original soundtrack for the film earlier this year which features music by Jasha Klebe. You can read more on Jasha’s thinking behind the score here.

Freedom on Fire was nominated alongside David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, JFK: One Day in America, Navajo Police: Class 57 and World War II: From the Front Lines.

The News & Documentary Emmy® Awards will be presented live at the Palladium Times Square in New York City on the 26th September.
