Introducing Mike MacLennan’s brand new album “Caelestia”.
Caelestia centres around seven of the constellations through which the celestial equator passes, with each of these forming the inspiration for a different piece. Recorded in October 2022 with a 29-piece string orchestra in Sofia, the album also features an overlapping cyclic string quartet passage in Serpens, plus soaring soprano vocals from LA-based singer Ayana Haviv on Monoceros, Caelestia and Ophiuchus.
Following the release of the single Monoceros, the seven track album is out today.
