Composer Joseph Phibbs’ latest release ‘Three Tudor Songs’ comprises three songs from settings of text, two of which are attributed to Henry VIII and features Tenor Benedict Hymas. ‘Away To Twither Away’ is a bawdy and bouncy wedding song; followed by ‘As The Holly Growth Green’, a lilting love song of a meditative pastorale; and end with ‘Pastime with Good Company’ which returns to the boisterous energy of the opening track.
