SAM THOMPSON

Sam is a London based composer, arranger/orchestrator and conductor. He has composed music for Channel 4, Sky and Playstation as well as numerous films.

Aside from his composition work, Sam has worked extensively as orchestrator and programmer for Ben Foster and Nick Foster on TV shows such as Thunderbirds Are Go!, Our Girl, Happy Valley, The A-List and The Good Karma Hospital. He has orchestrated and/or conducted scores for Oli Julian, Patrick Jonsson and Walter Mair including Netflix’s Sex Education, Sky One’s Living The Dream and Orlando Von Einsiedel’s Evelyn. He also frequently collaborates with Peter Gregson, composing additional music on projects such as Boundless (Playstation 4) and Ashely Avis’ feature film Adolescence. Sam has provided additional orchestrations for Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ scores for Wind River and Mars.

Alongside his work in film and TV, Sam has written and conducted arrangements for artists such as The xx, Betsy, Ellie Goulding, Lady Leshurr, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Tomicks and The People The Poet, as well as conducting The Heritage Orchestra and Anna Calvi at the Burberry Fashion Show.
